SOUTH AFRICAN WARGAMES UNION CHANGES NAME TO MIND SPORTS SOUTH AFRICA

At a Special General Meeting held on 10 November 2005 the Council agreed to change the name of the South African Wargames Union to that of Mind Sports South Africa.

The decision was not taken lightly and a great deal of thought had been invested in the name change.

It is felt that the change of name better reflects the changing emphasis not only to the activities promoted, but also to the political realities of the day.

As you are no doubt already aware, Mind Sports South Africa already caters for the following:

Board gaming	Diplomacy Draughts (Anglo-American, Pool Checkers and International) Morabaraba (also known as Mlabalaba) Moruba SesothoMorabaraba
Figure gaming	Ancients (3000 BC to 1500 AD) Pike & Shot (1500 AD to 1700 AD) Horse & Musket (1700 to 1845) World War 2 (1939 to 1945)
Computer gaming	Mobile games Personal Computer Games
